Jonathan Victor, Senior Managing Director

Mr. Victor serves as a Managing Director of Balmoral and a member of its Investment Committee. Mr. Victor co-founded Balmoral in 2005. Prior to that, Mr. Victor served as a senior advisor to Chanin Capital Partners, a financial advisory firm focused on restructurings. From 1999 to 2001, he served as President and CEO of eBility Inc., an internet company dedicated to people with disabilities. From 1993 to 1996, he was a Senior Vice President of Finance with The Irvine Company, a large scale real estate development company in Orange County. From 1986 – 1990, Mr. Victor was a Vice President of Kaufman & Broad Inc., a predecessor company to SunAmerica.

Mr. Victor serves on the board of Bennington Marine, Dispatch Transportation, Concurrent Holdings, iGPS Holdings, Enesco Holdings, AgileX, Silver Aero and Mooyah.

Among other civic and charitable affiliations, Mr. Victor serves on the Board of Directors of the Wallis Annenberg Cultural Center in Beverly Hills; the Wende Museum and the Cotsen Foundation for the Art of Teaching, and the Board of Governors of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Skip Victor, Managing Director

Mr. Victor serves as a Managing Director of Balmoral and a member of its Investment Committee. He is also a Senior Managing Director at Duff & Phelps Restructuring. He was a Regents’ Lecturer at UCLA for the 2010-2011 academic year. He has more than 27 years of restructuring experience. Mr. Victor has served on the board of Bennington Marine.

In 1990, Mr. Victor co-founded Chanin Capital Partners, a boutique investment bank focusing on corporate restructurings. Chanin Capital Partners was sold to Duff & Phelps in October 2006. Mr. Victor served as a Senior Managing Director of Duff & Phelps Restructuring Group from 2005 to 2011. From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Victor held a series of positions at Drexel Burnham Lambert, culminating in his appointment as a Vice President.

Among other civic and charitable affiliations, Mr. Victor is a member of the board of directors of the Los Angeles Child Guidance Center and Academic Exchange. He also serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for the Price Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the UCLA Graduate School of Management, and the Smithsonian Libraries and the Institute for Analysis of Global Security in Washington DC. In 2012, Mr. Victor completed a fellowship as part of the Advanced Leadership Initiative at Harvard University.

Robin Nourmand, Managing Director

Mr. Nourmand serves as a Managing Director at Balmoral and a member of its Investment Committee.
Starting in 2006, Mr. Nourmand became the second investment professional at Balmoral. In this capacity he has sourced deals, performed and managed all aspects of due diligence, crafted deal structures and proposals, raised debt financing for targets and portfolio companies, negotiated legal documents and executed transactions. He has also since supported the finance and business-development departments of the fund’s portfolio companies. Mr. Nourmand has served on the board of Bennington Marine and currently serves on the board of Dispatch Transportation and Concurrent Holdings.
Prior to Balmoral, Mr. Nourmand was with the Chicago-based law firm of Sidley Austin LLP, two Los Angeles-based hedge funds, including Canyon Partners, and the economic consulting firm Analysis Group, Inc.
Among other civic and charitable affiliations, Mr. Nourmand serves on the Board of Directors of Jewish National Fund (LA-Zone), UCLA Hillel, and UCLA Hillel’s Young Alumni Philanthropists, which he co-founded in 2011. He is also on the Board of Trustees of UCLA Hillel.

Travis Haynes, Managing Director

Travis Haynes joined the Balmoral team in 2012 to lead the business development function at the firm. He plays an active role in the origination, review, analysis and execution of transactions.

Prior to Balmoral, Travis served as a Vice President at Platinum Equity, a private equity firm headquartered in Beverly Hills, for 13 years. As a member of Platinum’s mergers and acquisitions team, Travis pursued new platform acquisitions in the US and Europe. He has extensive experience in review and analysis as well as governance of the investment approach and process. Travis played an integral role in the development and growth of Platinum’s business development department.





David Shainberg, Vice President

David Shainberg is a Vice President at Balmoral Funds. Mr. Shainberg joined Balmoral in 2012 and is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities, performing various aspects of due diligence, arranging debt financing, and structuring and closing acquisitions.

Prior to joining Balmoral, Mr. Shainberg worked in New York City in private equity at Brookfield Asset Management and investment banking at JP Morgan. Outside of the office, Mr. Shainberg serves on the boards of TMA Southern California NextGen (co-chairman), JNFutures, and Forever My Angel (co-founder).

Luke Mau, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Mau is the CFO at Balmoral Funds. Mr. Mau joined Balmoral in 2017 and is primarily responsible for overseeing the financial, accounting, regulatory compliance, and administrative functions of the Balmoral funds and related entities.

Prior to joining Balmoral, Mr. Mau worked in private equity administration with JP Morgan in London and New York City and Citco Fund Services in Europe. He is a Certified Public Accountant (active).
